We will be having Fall Basketball Sessions for boys and girls grades 2nd-4th. We will be focusing on the fundamentals skills of basketball. Our goal is to establish and improve the core basics of basketball, increase their basketball knowledge, work on their footwork and agility and most important, HAVE FUN PLAYING BASKETBALL!
Below are the details:
Who: Boys and Girls 2nd- 4th grade
When: 9-17, 9-24 and 10-1
Where: St. Joes Gym
This will be an 3 session event. All players will receive a T-Shirt. It is not mandatory to attend all 3 sessions to register. The sessions will taught by CYO Coaches and former players with years of basketball experience.
We look forward to teaching and coaching your children. Thank you for the opportunity.
For 2016 our 5th and 6th grade JV team will be coed. For 7th and 8th grade Varsity team(s), we will attempt to field a Boys and Girls team each. This decision will be based on number of registrants. Once we have closed registration on July 13th the board will assess the varsity registration numbers and reach out to families and inform them if we have enough players to form individual Boys and Girls teams or will have a Coed team.
Based on the limited number of coaches, CYO may be required to limit the number of volleyball registrations. Our expectation is to start a wait list after 27 varsity players have signed up, and 27 JV players have signed up. The cap number is subject to change if the number of coaches changes.
